Siri Updates.
iOS 18.1 introduced a redesigned Siri and some minor improvements, while iOS 18.2 brought ChatGPT integration. However, the most significant updates are expected in iOS 18.4 this April. Siri will receive three major upgrades, including:
- New App Actions: Siri will gain the ability to perform hundreds of new actions within Apple apps without requiring you to open them. Additionally, App Intents will extend this functionality to supported third-party apps.
- Personal Context Awareness: Siri will act more like a real assistant by referencing your data, such as received texts and past calendar events, to provide more intelligent and context-aware assistance.
- Onscreen Awareness: Siri will recognize what’s displayed on your screen, allowing you to ask it to take action based on what you’re currently viewing.
With these enhancements, alongside ChatGPT integration, Siri powered by Apple Intelligence is set to offer a much more powerful and intuitive user experience.
Notifications Sorted By Priority.
Apple Intelligence has significantly revamped how notifications function, and there’s more to come: Priority notifications are on the way. Priority notifications will be displayed at the top of your notification stack, making it easier to identify what requires your attention at a glance.
Additionally, notifications will be summarized, allowing for quicker scanning. In other words, you’ll be able to view several of your most important notifications in a single priority summary.
New Emoji Updates.
Genmoji now allows you to create any emoji you feel is missing. However, Apple plans to keep expanding its collection of built-in emojis for the iPhone keyboard. The next update of emojis is expected in iOS 18.3 or 18.4 and will include a Face with bags under the eyes, a Fingerprint, a Leafless tree, a Root vegetable, a Harp, a Shovel, a Splatter, and more. The exhausted face emoji is sure to be a popular addition when it’s released.
Image Playground will include Sketch Style.
With iOS 18.2, Apple has introduced a brand-new app to the iPhone’s Home Screen: Image Playground. This AI-powered tool allows you to generate original images based on text prompts or by using one of its many built-in features. Currently, Image Playground offers two styles for image creation: Animation and Illustration.
However, a third style, Sketch, will be available soon. Once released, the Sketch style can be applied to both new creations and existing images in your library.

The Home App Will Include Robo Vacuum Feature.
A new device category is being added to Apple’s Home app: robot vacuums. Initially expected with iOS 18.2, it’s now confirmed that iOS 18.3 will bring the long-awaited support for robot vacuums. After the release of iOS 18.3, expected in the next month or two, you’ll be able to control compatible robot vacuums directly from the Home app or using Siri commands.
Apple Intelligence Will Gain New Languages.
Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will support a range of new languages starting in April with iOS 18.4. While the specific languages for April have not been disclosed, Apple has shared a list of languages expected to be added in 2025, including Chinese, English (India), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish …and more.
Enhanced App Control.
Siri will gain greater control over apps with updates to iOS 18. According to Bloomberg, Siri will not only be able to control more third-party apps but also offer more precise control over Apple apps in 2025. This means, for example, you could ask Siri to edit a photo and send it to a friend.
