He found out the same picture on 500px website (a photography sharing platform) as well that had the same configuration data that was when the actual snap had been shot.

Incident Happened in 2016 (Huawei Only)

Previously also the Chinese smartphone maker had been accused of using bad business behavior in portraying DSLR photos. In 2016, the company did the same thing using the DSLR pictures as smartphone clicked ones that made quite captured headlines.

After the incident had been encountered by the company itself, Huawei stated, “We recognize, though, that we should have been clearer with the captions for this image. It was never our intention to mislead. We apologize for this and we have removed the image.”

Android Police talked about the incident as “So, did Huawei come out and say this was a P9 photo directly? No. Do they want you to associate the P9’s dual Leica camera performance and this image, per the statement about its abilities in low light conditions “like this?” Of course they do. That’s marketing,” the website’s report concludes. “And when a smartphone and a luxury brand team up to try and sell you something on the basis of a name, you should always be suspicious.”

Wrapping Up

Huawei is one of the biggest smartphone makers in China who has been accused of using bad business behavior more than once. Claiming the DSLR pictures as clicked by Huawei smartphone camera ones decreased the belief users have in the company products.
