If you use multiple copy commands in any Microsoft Office application, a Clipboard toolbar will appear automatically. This setting enables you to disable this feature.

Microsoft added the new feature Clipboard toolbar to Word 2000. This toolbar enables you to get access to the last 12 items that were added to the Clipboard with the copying operation (CTRL + C). The Clipboard is a temporarily memory that is used to copy and store data on your computer. You can paste the content of the Clipboard to another file or worksheet.

The Clipboard toolbar enables you to choose one or more items that should be inserted in your document. You can also invoke the Clipboard toolbar feature from the menu via “View->Clipboard”. If you enable this setting, the Clipboard toolbar feature won’t appear automatically after several copy operations, but it will appear, if you start it via the menu. Before modifying the registry, you should close all applications.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “AcbControl”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can disable the automatic appearance of Microsoft Office Clipboard toolbar. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to “0”.
