Disable media bar command on the toolbar

This tweak lets you disable the Media Bar command on the toolbar when the user plays online content.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003
Media Bar command on the toolbar can be disabled when the user plays online content.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Create a DWORD value name “No_LaunchMediaBar” in the right panel. Right-click it and modify the data value with “1” to enable the setting.

Click “OK” and close the registry editor.

Restart the system or logoff to see the changes taking effect.

Hide media bar online from IE.reg

The ".reg" file can hide the Media Bar online from Internet Explorer.

Show media bar online from IE (Default).reg

The ".reg" file can show the Media Bar online from Internet Explorer.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The "Media" option is not visible in the Internet Explorer after the changes have been made in the registry.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Internet Explorer".

Third, right-click on the 'Internet Explorer' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Restrictions".

Fourth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "No_LaunchMediaBar".

Fifth, right-click on 'No_LaunchMediaBar' DWORD value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Hide Recycle Bin Properties option (For All Users).
