Hide the button to turnoff computer (For All Users).

This setting enables you to control the display of “Turn Off Computer” item in the Start menu.

“Turn Off Computer” option provides the user to turnoff/close down the system or to go to other options like standby, restart. This setting enables you to remove the item from the Start menu.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\Explorer” does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a Dword value “NoClose” in the right panel.

Now, right-click and modify its value to “1” which can hide turn off button. However, if you want enable the button back, change the value data to “0” or delete the added value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

"Turn Off Computer" button is hidden from the Start menu.

"Turn Off Computer" button is visible by default in the Start menu.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\], key and create a new key with the name "Explorer" under "Policies".

Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoClose" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "NoClose" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Clear the computer names searched on a network.

This setting allows you to clear the names of all computers that were passed as arguments while searching a computer on the network.

Remove the “Favorites” menu item from the Start menu (For Current User).
