1. Click on the Windows logo key on laptop and in the search bar type troubleshoot > select troubleshoot settings.

2. In the new window that opens, select Troubleshoot from the left pane. Now in the right pane under Find and Fix other problems click on Power and select Run the troubleshooter.

Check Battery Status in Device Manager

If you have accidentally disabled battery from Windows Device Manager, then you may face such issues with the battery. So the next step is to head on to the Device Manager and look out for the battery status. To do so follow the steps given below:

1. Press Windows + R key at the same time on your keyboard. This will open the Run command box.

2. Now in the Run Window type devmgmt.msc in the search bar and hit the Enter button on your keyboard. This will open the Device Manager on your machine.

3. Double click on the Batteries and right click on the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method to check the battery status.  If it is disabled then click on the Enable device option.

Update BIOS to the Latest Version

Like drivers of your laptop, BIOS also needs to be updated. So if you are getting the error, the battery is not detected then you can try updating the BIOS. To do so follow the steps below:
