Instagram is one of the most used social media platform allowing users to share their pictures and videos amongst their loved ones. This article is a continuation of the previous article comprising of the most useful hacks that make your experience wonderful.
Delete your Search History:
Instagram saves the search history every time you search anything and displays it in the search list the next time. If you want to start afresh every time you can delete the search history. To do so:
Navigate to your profile by clicking on the person icon.
Go to Options by tapping on the gear icon in iOS and three dots in Android.
Scroll down and click on Clear/Delete Search History.
Get Notified whenever your personal favorites post new feeds:
Want to follow your favorite accounts every time they post a fresh content? Turn on the Push notification and you will not miss a thing:
Navigate to the profile page of the account you wish to follow.
From the upper right corner of the screen, tap on the three dots icon.
Here tap Turn on Post Notifications.
The notifications can be turned off whenever required by tapping on the option to turn of the notifications.
Pin your post on Pinterest:
Pinterest is yet another famous and influential social media platform having millions of user database.
However, while sharing a post, Instagram does not offer the functionality to share it on Pinterest. Also, pinning from the post doesn’t help. Luckily, this workaround helps you pin your post both from the desktop and mobile app.
- Doing it from Desktop:
Visit Instagram.com and then search the post you want to pin on Pinterest.
Open the feed in a new window by right clicking on the feed and selecting Open Link in a New Window.
Click on the Pinterest browser button to pick the image you want to pin and you are done.
- Doing it from your mobile:
Search the post you want to pin. Tap on the three dots present at the top right corner.
Here tap on the Copy Share URL to copy the link of the post to clipboard.
Now open Pinterest app on your mobile.
Here click on the person icon to open your profile page.
To add a new Pin, Select the plus sign present on the top right corner of the screen.
Here an Add a board or Pin menu will appear, choose Copied link.
Pinterest will now open the saved link(clipboard) automatically.
Select the image you want to Pin and that’s it!
Delete Comments:
Not only it is possible to delete your own comments on Instagram but it is also possible to delete comments that other accounts have posted on your feeds.
Here’s how you should do it:
- Deleting your own comments:
Click the search button just below the post you recently commented upon.
Here, look for the comment you wish to remove.
Swipe to left and tap on the trash can icon.
- Deleting someone else’s comments on your feeds:
Click on the search bubble just below the post from where you want to delete a comment.
Swipe left over the comment.
While you swipe over you will be presented with a list of options letting you delete, reply or flag a comment.
Here, select the trash can icon to delete the comment.
Look for the activities of the account that you follow:
Want to keep yourself updated on what the accounts you follow are doing on Instagram.
Here’s all you need to do:
From the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, tap on the heart icon to visit the activity tab.
By default, the activity tab will open You, just select Following to look for the activates of the account you are following.
Save Posts that only you can view:
Does it happen with your too? scrolling feeds and suddenly you come across a feed you wish to save for later. Yes, you now can save them to be viewed later:
Instagram has a tiny miny feature that allows you to save posts somewhere in your profile which only you can view.
How to do it:
Navigate to a feed that you wish to save for later use.
Tap on the bookmark icon present on the right side of the screen.
To view the posts, you have saved navigate to your profile and select the corresponding bookmark icon present next to the Photos of You and then go to the Saved tab.
