Companies Should Consider Using AI

Artificial intelligence is an area of computer science. It stresses for the creation of intelligent machines that should work and react like humans. It has become an essential part of the technology industry. The core problems of artificial intelligence include programming computers for certain traits like knowledge, reasoning, problem solving, perception, learning, planning, and ability to manipulate and to move objects.
Machines can often act and react like humans only if they have bountiful of information relating to the world. Artificial intelligence must have access to objects, categories, properties and relations between all of them to implement knowledge engineering. To have common sense, reasoning and problem-solving power in machines is a difficult approach.
Artificial intelligence is already here and it is not just for big companies and universities but smaller businesses should be thinking about it too. As someone said that if your company is not embracing artificial intelligence, it is going to suffer. And everyone will agree with me, nobody wants to be left behind.

Process Improvement:

Business process improvement is a developed methodology to help companies do a better job at delivering products and services. It is the tasks and activities that contribute toward the achievement of organizational goals. Artificial intelligence is here to help with that.
Artificial intelligence can help identify patterns and define current conditions, and important signals in a process. The whole workforce that contributes to collect and map this information, can make the story complete and accurate. Artificial intelligence can help develop optimal workflows throughout an organization using these knowledge libraries. AI can also be used to monitor productivity and streamline business tasks. It can help reduce labor intensive processes and factors like human error that may cause inefficiencies in work processes.

Documentation:

Artificial intelligence may one day make the technical writer profession go the way of the typist. The world-renowned news agency, Associated Press, is already using AI to write Minor League Baseball articles. But do not worry. Any company may use their writers to document reports, manuals, brochures and product details.

Unstructured Data:

According to IBM, 80 percent of worldwide data is unstructured. And to keep the exponential growth of data is a challenge for every business. It is text-heavy. It comes in a variety of forms like MS Word or PowerPoint files. The raw data can be textual or non-textual.
IBM’s Watson analyzes text to extract metadata from content like concepts, entities, keywords, categories, sentiment, emotion, relations, semantic roles, using natural language understanding.” The multinational computer software company, Yseop, is already offering similar services worldwide.

Helping Customers:

We all know about our latest intelligent personal assistants, Siri, Google Now, Cortana and Alexa. They can provide support to customers who want to know more about the business. Chatbots are also a form of virtual assistance. Marketers are adopting such type of applications to help with customer interaction, and they are becoming available to average businesses.

Increasing Sales:

AI can now automate daily tasks and take out useful insights off sales data to help sales representatives in increasing overall service. Salespeople are also learning machine intelligence in serving the customers.

Conclusion:

It looks to be true but will these automated machines make us obsolete? Everything said and done, artificial intelligence can be a valuable tool for any business even today and may be in the future.
