You Delete A Gmail Account On Your Android Phone:
When you decide and go ahead deleting a Google account it means the account will be permanently removed and will become unrecoverable.
Deleting a Gmail account also means you will not be able to use YouTube, Google Music, Play Store associated with the account.
Another important fact associated with deleting a Gmail account are that you will not have access to any pictures, music, files, calendar, etc that were associated with the deleted Gmail Account. Also, you will not be able to access any applications that were purchased using the same Gmail account.

Below are the steps using which you can remove as Gmail account from your Android phone,
- Open the Settings on your Android phone.
- From the Settings window look for the option names Accounts. Please note the option might appear as Users & Accounts in some Android phones.
- The Accounts window will have all the accounts configured on your Android phone. Here look for the Google account you wish to remove and click on it.
- Post this click on Remove account.
- You will be asked to confirm the removal, please confirm by clicking on Remove account.
There are instances when a Gmail account cannot be removed. In such cases you can always disable the account by navigating to Settings > Apps > Here select Gmail and then Disable the account.
While it is easy to remove a Google account from your Android phone, it gets difficult to recover it at times. Under such circumstances, you can also choose to turn off the sync and notifications on your Gmail account.
How To Turn Off Notifications And Sync On Your Gmail Account?
Turning off notifications and sync on your Gmail lets you do the task without removing it. To do so,
- Launch Settings.
- Here click on Accounts.
- Click on the Gmail account for which you want to turn off notifications.
- Click on Account sync.
- Toggle off the option named Gmail.
Once you have performed these steps you will stop receiving any emails and notifications associated with the Gmail account on your Android phone, However the Google account will still be present on your phone.
