Now for this process, the only prerequisites we need are a flawless internet connection & two routers.

The steps will be as below:

  1. Start with plugging in the ethernet cable the LAN port on the primary router & connect the same to the WAN port on the secondary VPN router.
  2. Now connect the primary router to the computer by connecting it’s LAN port to the computer’s port.

Keep the primary router connected to the internet if you have a wireless connection.

Another thing is that not every router model will require two models as some of them will be quite workable with a sole primary router only.

4. Lead The Process by Connecting The VPN

Once the above processes have been taken care of, your router is up & running with either DD-WRT or Tomato. Now start connecting your VPN that can vary according to the VPN provider. Since the VPN providers are as much as uncountable, we should go ahead with one specific example to get the gist of it, so we are selecting NordVPN.

Remember that changing the settings can also vary according to the firmware you choose; however, it’s not rocket science as well.

We all are quite handy with the free version of the internet solution tools, however, if you need an extra layer of security or a bit serious about the privacy part, it’s advised to opt the paid versions as they are absolutely worth it.

Wrapping Up
