Restrict changes on “Advanced” tab in Internet Explorer.

This setting restricts you to make any change on the "Advanced" tab of Internet Options dialog in Internet Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
The "Advanced" tab in Internet Options dialog, lets you manage Security, Multimedia, Printing, Browsing and Accessibility settings. With this tweak you can restrict changes on the "Advanced" tab in Internet Explorer.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Here, create the Dword value “Advanced” in the right panel, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify its value to “1” which can restrict changes. However, if you want enable the option back, change the value data to “0” or delete the added value.

Restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.

Disable Restore Defaults in IE.reg

The '.reg' file will restrict changes on "Advanced" tab.

Enable Restore Defaults in IE (Default).reg

The '.reg' file will enable changes on "Advanced" tab.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

This setting disables the 'Restore Default' button under the 'Advanced' tab in the Internet Option box.

The 'Restore Default' button under the 'Advanced' tab in the Internet Option box is enabled by default.

First, click the Start button, and select Run. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit"

Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] and create a new key "Internet Explorer"

Third, create a subkey "Control Panel" under "Internet Explorer".

Fourth, create a DWORD value "Advanced".

Now,right-click on "Advanced" and select 'Modify'

Finally, set the value data to “1” in the textbox provided and click on 'OK'.
