Disable the ability to customize toolbar in Internet Explorer (For Current User).

This setting prevents you from determining which icons should appear in the Internet Explorer Standard toolbars.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
In Internet Explorer, if you select the “Customize” option in “Toolbars” sub-menu of the “View” menu, you can set which icons should appear in the Standard toolbar. This setting disables this feature.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoToolbarCustomize”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can disable the ability to customize the toolbar. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to “0”.

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
This setting can be applied to Windows Explorer as well.

Show Toolbar Customize option (Default).reg

The ".reg" file can show the "View > Toolbars > Customize" option in Internet Explorer.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The "Text Labels" option is visible instead of the default "Customize" option.

The "Customize" option is visible by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\], right-click on the open area to create a new DWORD value "NoToolbarCustomize".

Third, right-click on the "NoToolbarCustomize" DWORD value and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Restrict viewing source in Internet Explorer (For Windows 98/Me).
