Change the flash count of Taskbar button.

Whenever a new program is activated from another program in Windows, the new program stays in the background. It flashes on the taskbar for a given number of times and then becomes inactive. You can set the number; the new program should flash before getting inactive.

Whenever a new program is activated from another program in Windows, the new program stays behind all other open windows. It flashes on the taskbar to seek your attention. If you don’t pay attention the program button flashes for a fixed number count on the taskbar and then get inactive.

The number for which the new program should flash is also controlled by a registry setting. By default, the background window do flash “3” times on your taskbar, if you change the value to “0” it flashes infinitely.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the dword value “ForegroundFlashCount”, in the right panel, to a desired value (like “10”). However, if you want to set the options to default, change the value data to “3”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The window button flashes the number of times as defined by you.

The window button flashes "3" times by default and stops.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\], in the open area right-click on "ForegroundFlashCount" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the flash count you desire (like "10") as a Decimal value.

Show only taskbar icon of minimized applications.

By using this tweak you are able to reduce the size each button needs inside the taskbar.

Hide notification area items (For Current User).

Disable context menu display on the Taskbar.

Disable animation while resizing the window.

The user can specify if Windows should animate a window while minimizing, maximizing, and restoring the size of the window.

Restore “Show Desktop” icon in the Quick Launch Bar.

If you have some windows open on your desktop, you can minimize all those windows with the “Show Desktop” button. If this button is not present in the Quick Launch Bar, you can create it using this setting.
